Hi, Thank you for warring me. Yes of caurse it was a mistake for me, sorry for this incident. Regards. --Fayçal.09 (talk) 16:20, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

HTML bold markup

Same for bold in this list, -- Magioladitis (talk) 17:49, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the additional work. Yea, really appreciate that... hmmm, the Joker or Bane is starting to look much better to join up with. Bgwhite (talk) 17:53, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
The ideal would be to close the unclosed tags for bolding too. -- Magioladitis (talk) 21:07, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
Yea, I usually do that, except when there are a ton of them on one page. Bgwhite (talk) 21:08, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
Rjw quitted trying too. Keep doing what you do and I'll try to find a solution. -- Magioladitis (talk) 21:10, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
I think you are confusing your languages because the above sentence doesn't make sense. I have it easier because I only know bad English. Bgwhite (talk) 21:12, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
The Invisible Barnstar
Oh yes, I appreciate that you closed all the unclosed bold tags. -- Magioladitis (talk) 23:32, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
I'm not done with the list yet, but thank you. Bgwhite (talk) 23:35, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

Refs before punctuation (#61)

I attacked in the heart of the problem by running on a self-made database scan. I hope this will reduce the problem for good. -- Magioladitis (talk) 23:47, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

Did you use AWB's scanner? If so, could you add it the Regex page in your userspace. That way I or others can run it again. How many thousands of articles were there? Bgwhite (talk) 23:49, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
I only searched for </ref>. </ref>, and </ref>; (explicit search; no regex). I did at least 10,000 edits with my bot today. -- Magioladitis (talk) 23:56, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
Any reason why CheckWiki isn't picking up on these and all the <b> tags? Bgwhite (talk) 00:04, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
I think Stefan Kühn hasn't performed a new database scan for enwiki yet. -- Magioladitis (talk) 00:19, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

Please let the discussions play out on the talk pages of the Doolittle Raid member pages prior to adding the deletion tag. Thank you. Biciklista10 (talk)| —Preceding undated comment added 13:43, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

Just checking in

Hi BG. While I don't think I'm in any way guilty of the "delete everything!" WP:NPP school of thought, I'm pretty sure I'm still getting things wrong with the WikiProject templates on talk pages. I remember a while ago you gave me a tutorial in the right way to do things - for which I thank you - and I'm trying to put it into practice. I'm always willing to learn and improve: please let me know about any errors I make.--Shirt58 (talk) 09:20, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

Jennett's Park

Thanks for your comments to Eeekster on his rather rapid tagging of Jennett's Park and for removing the tag. Yes, it did annoy me, same thing happened with another page I wrote with an unreferenced tag appearing in minutes. Maybe I should have added those references before I saved the first time, but I didn't even though I knew what they would be. Sad thing is that many unreferenced tags stay there for years - in my case when I came back this morning another editor had already added some more useful information - and Eeekster had deleted all the comments from his user page, I had to view yours in the old version... 10 minutes or 15 is irrelevant, common sense should prevail, and normally a day or two would be reasonable with most new articles that don't appear to be spam. (and I also messed up the title and had to move it twice, my error sorry...) Dsergeant (talk) 06:01, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

I rather enjoyed how he deleted the comments from his talk page just after I quoted the rules to him.
To be fair, there is alot of junk coming thru and it can be hard to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Ideally, every article should be reviewed within in a day. But, you are right, common sense says don't add tags to newly created articles and only look for spam/nonsense pages/copyright. Unfortunately, alot of people new to Wikipedia like doing New Page Patrol. It is a constant problem with people not understanding the rules. So it is best to have atleast one ref in the article when you create it.
If you ever have any problems or questions, don't hesitate to ask me. Bgwhite (talk) 06:32, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

Ge Ping (voice actor) should be ok now, I think

Preventing Drew Bontadelli from being deleted help

Hey User talk:Bgwhite, this is User:Ashbeckjonathan. I have a question. I understand you may delete the article Drew Bontadelli. Where can I find references and how can I prevent a new article from being deleted? May you please help me find an article and may you please give me some hints how to keep an article from being deleted? Thanks. Ashbeckjonathan (talk) 18:43, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

What's needed are independent, reliable references that go into some detail about him. I did try finding them, but was unsuccessful. The problem with Bontadelli is it looks like he has only been doing sportscasts for less than two years. Somebody so new is not going to have alot of references. Any hints I may have had didn't work when I went googling. All I can say is hit the search engines.
I have noticed the other sportscaster articles you created. If I remember right, one was the play-by-play announcer for the Dallas Mavericks and the was for the Florida Marlins. I didn't tag those because I was thinking that doing major league games would bring more notoriety than a new, small town person. Bgwhite (talk) 19:03, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
What do you mean by hit the search engines? Can you give an example?
Ashbeckjonathan (talk) 19:46, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Use Google, Bing or whatever. Search his name, type: "Drew Bontadelli" or other combinations such as: Drew Bontadelli baseball. Bgwhite (talk) 19:48, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Thank you! I will take your word for it. Ashbeckjonathan (talk) 19:49, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
I did find some websites by using google and I always prefer to use google. I will save it, I will remove the notice because I am ready to improve the article. Thanks. Ashbeckjonathan (talk) 19:54, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
You can't remove the notice. The process has to run its course. Make sure the references you add go into some detail about Mr. Bontaelli, not just a mention or quote. Bgwhite (talk) 19:56, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

Of course. I will take your word for it. If there is any other problem, just remind me. Thanks. Ashbeckjonathan (talk) 19:59, 16 October 2012 (UTC) I just received a message and I can't remove the notice. You are right about that. Is their any idea how I can keep the page without being deleted? Ashbeckjonathan (talk) 13:01, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

User:mattregister

Hi mate, saw your note at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shannon Register about the above editor. Thought you should know I posted a note on his talk page in a similar vein. He hasn't actually ever "signed" anything before to then have subsequently "changed" his signature, except for a strange post prior to this response at AFD where he just left his signature on the page then deleted it (you probably saw that). But your edit/note was a good one and entirely fair enough. Anyway, I think we're dealing with a very inexperienced editor who probably didn't really understand the issues that would come with using his WP:REALNAME so it's good to have a couple of people keeping an eye on it. Cheers, Stalwart111 (talk) 00:15, 17 October 2012 (UTC).

Page Curation newsletter - closing up!

Hey all :).

We're (very shortly) closing down this development cycle for Page Curation. It's genuinely been a pleasure to talk with you all and build software that is so close to my own heart, and also so effective. The current backlog is 9 days, and I've never seen it that low before.

However! Closing up shop does not mean not making any improvements. First-off, this is your last chance to give us a poke about unresolved bugs or report new ones on the talkpage. If something's going wrong, we want to know about it :). Second, we'll hopefully be taking another pass over the software next year. If you've got ideas for features Page Curation doesn't currently have, stick them here.

Again, it's been an honour. Thanks :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 12:03, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi Bgwhite, how are you? Thanks for the help in this page I've made. May I ask your help for the future?

Ask anytime for any help. It is really no problem. Bgwhite (talk) 06:22, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

removal of Old prod tag

Hi, you removed an Old prod from an article's talk page with this edit. I suspect you did it accidentally and I restored it. These tags are important because once contested an article can't be prodded again. J04n(talk page) 22:03, 19 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi Bgwhite, Thanks for your efforts on the People of the Karoo page. Khoisan languages have up to five basic clicks indicated by orthographic symbols which, as you point out, don't seem easily accommodated by Wikipedia. Speedy deletion declined

Hello Bgwhite! I recently declined your speedy deletion request on the article Andrew Overtoom. According to G4; "This excludes pages that are not substantially identical to the deleted version, pages to which the reason for the deletion no longer applies, and content moved to user space for explicit improvement". The article does not meet the criteria you recently tagged. Please visit or see WP:CSD for more info. Thank you and Happy Editing! Regards, Mediran talk|contribs 03:07, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

You cannot delete a speedy from an article you have created.
If the speedy is declined, I will immediately take it to AfD yet again. It already has been deleted twice via AfD. No independent, reliable references have been added to this third creation. Bgwhite (talk) 04:20, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

I'm not sure. Only thing I can think of is that Tool Server runs on a different database than Wikipedia does. Tool Server's database might not have synced up your new name yet with the old edits. Bgwhite found a workaround. To both of you: Avoiding to have small tags inside ref tags is for WP:ACCESSIBILITY reasons. I don't have eye problems and still I had to try hard to read the small text there. We should avoid very small text. -- Magioladitis (talk) 08:35, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

Little slow tonight

I just clued in that your message was sarcasm. Sorry. Toddst1 (talk) 05:50, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

You removed this link as promotional, but I believe it is an asset to the article because it provides access to the full text of the preface and contents page of his book as well as many of the images (and I explained this in an annotation to the link). There would be no problem in allowing a link to a full online version of his book if such was available: I think the Amazon link is useful in this way. I would not add a link to an Amazon record for an author's work in other circumstances. I have replaced the link you removed. PamD 07:52, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

This is why we have ISBN links. Click on the ISBN and there are links aplenty, including Amazon and Google. The Amazon link is nothing but promotional.
On another note, I noticed the rude statement User talk:Hutcher made to you. They are still adding the Wikify tag, plus making trivial edits. You are better talking to people about this as I'm too direct an "forceful". If you are inclined and if they don't shape up, could you talk to them next time? Hopefully good cop Pam will get the message thru rather than bad cop Bgwhite. Bgwhite (talk) 16:38, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

Vartamanani Barnstar!

Vartamanani (The Present Moment) Barnstar
In next N years...

We find Krishna claiming in Bhagavad Gita, he knows everything that has happened in the past, all that is happening in the present, and all things that are yet to come (original sloka in Sanskrit Vedaham samatitani Vartamanani cha Arjuna. Bhavishyani cha bhutani mang tu veda na kaschana (Gita 7.26)). But, I don't. I know nothing. I know only about present. That's also not entire present, only a very small part of it. Hi there, I´m a wiki freshman and I have submitted my first article recently (hope it holds up :-) I have noticed some changes mostly relating to grammar and stylistics, however, a chunky section of the text was deleted as I assumed it was due to lack of references ? Can I revert the section of the text using relevant sources? The article is also tagged with "edit" stamp as the reason stated was that personal pronoun "she" was redundantly used to refer to the person, however, I think it would be odd to start every new line using her name, huh? Anyway, thank you for your help.. --JanoMatrix (talk) 07:16, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

I removed the "Significant diplomatic meetings" because, well they were not that significant. The vast majority of these types of meetings are more routine and don't have to be mentioned.
The "she" is redundant, not sure I would have added the tag. A relative wiki freshman added the tag, so there are newbies everywhere. Vaľová does need to be placed in parts of the text, but you don't have to add it to the first sentence of every paragraph.
The "http://app.statistics.sk/vuc_2005/" type refs do need to be replaced. These just goto a general page and don't say anything about Ms. Vaľová.
As a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, she is notable, so the article is in no danger of being deleted. Bgwhite (talk) 07:29, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi! I am Miha. I think we already met each other here. You want to delete "David Negrete Fernández". His son and great-grandson are notable, but this was not the reason why I wrote an article about him. He is notable for his participation in Mexican Revolution. He was a comrade of another notable soldier, Felipe Ángeles.

There are many reliable sources for him:

  • The Billboard guide to Tejano and regional Mexican music by Ramiro Burr. Page 157. An authoritative source-book for both old and new fans of Tejano music begins with an overview of the roots of Tejano music, and includes comprehensive discographies, critical essays, and informative biographies of the genre's most influential and successful artists.
  • Granddaughter of David, Diana, wrote a book about her father and grandfather: Jorge Negrete. She wrote: "David Negrete era un hombre jovial, alegre, de un carácter sencillo y cordial, amante de la música y las bellas artes." (If you do not understand Spanish, I will translate you.)
  • Jorge el bueno: la vida de Jorge Negrete, Volume 1 by Enrique Serna
  • El origen del mariachi coculense: una cultura con mariachi, charros y tequila. Written by Efrain De la Cruz.

There are some more sources for him.--Miha (talk) 11:39, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

"The Billboard guide to Tejano and regional Mexican music" Doesn't mention Davide as far as I can see, but talks about his son.
"Granddaughter of David, Diana, wrote a book about her father and grandfather" This is not independent.
Other two books are about his son again.
Please show sources that are about David and not one of his kids or grandkids. Bgwhite (talk) 17:58, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Chuck Colby Photograph unwarranted deletion

(Undid revision 520947203 by Rabit (talk) Image has already been deleted. You have to have permission in writing by Colby and give it to Wikipedia for confirmation. Otherwise, it is against the law.)

Three facts that also happen to be true:

  1. I received permission in e-mail from the photographer and copyright holder of the photograph, Bruce Damer of DigiBarn Computer Museum.
  2. Chuck Colby has already granted me permission in e-mail to create this Wikipedia entry.
  3. The photograph is publicly exhibited on the DigiBarn website and has been so for nearly 10 years.

Given these three facts that also happen to be true, specifically which "law" am I violating by uploading this image?

And am I supposed to physically get permission in writing from Chuck Colby then physically give it in writing to Wikipedia?

(And why is it taking me more time to upload a single image than took to write the entire article?)

Questions in parenthesis are rhetorical, no obligation to answer.

Rabit (talk) 21:02, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

It is against the law to display a photo if you do not have written permission to do so. Wikipedia has no such permission.
The DigiBarn's website specifically] lays out their copyright status. Their copyright is incompatible with Wikipedia's as it allows no commercial use.
Goto Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard for instructions on how to have Colby e-mail permission. Colby will have to agree to change the copyright status on his photo to have be able to be used for commercial purposes. Bgwhite (talk) 21:10, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Okay, commercial-use policy is understandable. I guess we just leave the photograph out of the article for now. Rabit (talk) 21:24, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

AFC Issue

You have requested to delete one of my pages because (No independent, reliable sources about her) my questions is, do you think X Games and LG Sports medalists don't deserve a wiki page and are not noticeable athletes? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayumi_Kawasaki

This isn't about what they do. In order to have an article on Wikipedia, there must be independent, reliable sources per WP:GNG. If you notice, I haven't proded other pages because they had sources, but I'm about to prod another article. Bgwhite (talk) 07:04, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
its very hard to find unbroken links, most sources are resoundings from TV like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIniIMytY6c
Unfortunately, that isn't a source either. This is a catch-22, especially for more "obscure" sports... They are "obscure", so they don't get alot of press, without the press, they don't get a Wikipedia article. Bgwhite (talk) 07:15, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
well its not like they are completely underground sports, they come out on TV and on newspaper but I dont collect them so its almost impossible for me to provide those sources. Ill keep searching the web and adding more ref links — Preceding unsigned comment added by XK8ER (talkcontribs) 07:19, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
There are a few more articles that need more sources, but I didn't have the heart to Prod them just yet. I didn't want to discourage you anymore. Looks like WikiProject Extreme Sports is dead, so no luck there asking questions. Ask for help in finding references at Wikipedia:Teahouse. I think they have access to paid sites. Bgwhite (talk) 07:31, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
alright, I was able to find more sources like ESPN websites and stuff, but will the pages be deleted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by XK8ER (talkcontribs) 07:48, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
If warranted, the articles won't be deleted for atleast 10 days, so there is time to look for sources. I'll take a look tomorrow and I'll remove the Proposed deletion tag if needed... I'm about to goto bed for the night. Oh, make sure you sign your post with ~~~~ Bgwhite (talk) 07:57, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
Hello Bgwhite, I was wondering if you were happy with the independent references that I posted for Borja_Fernandez_(Skater) and if you still need me to find some more.. The ones that I found were all in Spanish but now I'm using chrome browser that translates into English.. let me know. thanks XK8ER (talk) 01:56, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Deletion of Allison Williams (reporter)

I understand you may delete the article of Allison Williams, I was looking for references for the article. I tried to prevent a deletion on the edit summary, but I was not able to. What can I do? Ashbeckjonathan (talk) 13:01, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

If there are not sources available, then there is nothing to do. For an article to stay, there has to be references. Bgwhite (talk) 20:53, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Why don't you run your bot to fix CHECKWIKI error 48? -- Magioladitis (talk) 23:37, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

The beginning ones were, i.e. 1 E+30 m³, were strange and I was worried there were more.
I also saw "False positives: Template:Infobox Taxobox usually needs the title linked (as of November 9, 2010)". I've come across these, but I couldn't see a difference between the original and after I ran AWB on it.
Only found one small problem related to music singles. AWB will replace the brackets with bold, ie ''[[Single]]'' -> '''''Single'''''. This is what it is supposed to do. But when bold is already present, it will do '''''[[Single]]''''' -> ''''''''Single''''''''.
Other than that, I was going thru them manually until the end of the first 500 to see if I found anything else strange before I ran the bot on it. Bgwhite (talk) 23:47, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Bot damaging articles

Can you stop your bot from removing internal links. I find them helpful to highlight names in voter lists. Thanks. EncyclopediaUpdaticus (talk) 01:14, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

It is against MOS per WP:OVERLINK. Articles also get on a listing to fix, which is how I got the articles for the bot to run against. Bgwhite (talk) 01:18, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
I read WP:OVERLINK and in this case it doesn't apply because the link is translated as bold text rather than a clickable link. In addition the last sentence reads, "Generally, a link should appear only once in an article, but if helpful for readers, links may be repeated in infoboxes, tables, image captions, footnotes, and at the first occurrence after the lead." In other words these links are helpful to readers as they appear in a table, which in the case of political biographies are tables of voter totals. EncyclopediaUpdaticus (talk) 03:25, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
"doesn't apply because the link is translated as bold text rather than a clickable link". Then bold the text instead of doing a wikilink. Problem solved.
Per WP:OVERLINK, you cannot have a wikilink that when click leads back to the same page, period and end of story. Your quote about "these links are helpful to readers" is talking about normal wikilinks, where when clicked takes you to a new page. In these cases, it is ok.
You are using a wikilink for looks and not what a wikilink is designed for. If you want to change the looks, then do it with bolding, change the font or color, but don't use a wikilink. Bgwhite (talk) 05:04, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
I second that. If bold text is needed then use bold text and not self-link. This protects us against page moves, etc. -- Magioladitis (talk) 12:23, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Did you even look at the edit history? Vegaswikian (talk) 20:49, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
Grrr, redirects. Sorry. Ok, I remember this case. I see people putting categories on the redirect when both pages about the same thing and I thought this was the case here. The main article has a somewhat misleading title seeing how it is about a building. Sorry for my usual confused self. Bgwhite (talk) 21:08, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
Yes, article names can be confusing. In some cases it is better to rename an article. I find many NRHP articles that are about a building or buildings and the article name is 'XYZ Company'. In other cases both are covered, so I leave the article at the best name and create redirects, with correct categories, on the redirects. So yes, confusion exists but we can defeat it! On deleting PRODs

WP:DEPROD clearly says I'm "encouraged, but not required" to state a reason. "Take it to AfD" is a reason. In doing so I'm already giving you the benefit of the doubt. Have a nice day. ;-) Faustus37 (talk) 08:18, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

Um, yes I know it is encouraged and not required, but when you say sources are available or take it to Afd (when reason for prod is no sources) doesn't really help. It would be nice if you list the actually sources in the articles... especially when the proder couldn't find any. How in the world it "Take it to AfD" giving me the benefit of the doubt? Bgwhite (talk) 08:29, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi, Bgwhite. Could you please explain this edit of removing the link? Is there any policy concerning links in the citation templates? Thank you. Beagel (talk) 08:27, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

Missing log entry?

While investigating the harassment by Edgerider221, I looked at your log and was surprised to see the two entries at 06:30 on 20 October: the first is a normal hiding of feedback, but the second shows absolutely nothing at all. Do you know what happened? I'm tempted to report this at WP:VPT. Nyttend (talk) 03:03, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

My gosh, I'm gone for a few hours and all ($*#&% breaks out. You've got the upper hand on me. What logs and where? Maybe if I go read what just happened while I was gone I can figure it out. Bgwhite (talk) 06:25, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
This is completely unrelated to the mess Edgeridger was creating; I just happened to see it while investigating him. Just look at Special:Log/Bgwhite and check the earlier of the two entries from 20 October. I'm not alleging that you did something wrong; I'm alleging that the software has messed up something. Nyttend (talk) 22:22, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
Ahh ok. I don't remember what happened. I can't remember if I hide two feedbacks or not. Also, I don't think you were alleging anything to begin with. Bgwhite (talk) 22:47, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

Persondata

Hi, You didn't answer my questions at User_talk:MrNiceGuy1113#Persondata_and_Defaultsort so I'm still not clear: does adding PERSONDATA create a sort key, and the "living people" catgory, and the birth and date categories, or do they still need to be added separately? My inclination is to continue to add those, economically of effort, by using {{subst:l|... (which no-one will ever see after it's subst-d, deprecated or not), unless someone shows me a convincing reason to do otherwise. (But while I'm happy to do that one line of typing for the average Romanian footballer or Brazilian poet I come across while stub-sorting, I don't feel inclined to complete a large template with compulsory fields - so if it became PERSONDATA or nothing it might often be the latter). PamD 14:22, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

Stalker here. :) They need to be added separately. We have a consensus against invisible categories i.e. categories hidden in templates. -- Magioladitis (talk) 14:43, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for that clarification. I'll leave the adding of PERSONDATA to those who want to do so, and continue to add various categories with minimal typing by invisibly using the deprecated and abbreviated "subst:l"! PamD 16:13, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Yes. That's great. Lifetime is very handy but it has the disadvantage to hide categories. I am substituting lifetime regularly. Persondata is another weird story. I also think it will become deprecated soon. -- Magioladitis (talk) 17:12, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

Error fix #26

Hi Bgwhite. When fixing error #26, it might be worth only replacing </b> with ''' if there was a matching <b>; in this edit, replacing the two instances of </b> with ''' has resulted in text which wasn't (and shouldn't be) bold becoming bold. DH85868993 (talk) 00:01, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

Actually, I might be talking rubbish. The template possibly makes that text bold anyway. Feel free to keep doing what you're doing until I've investigated further. Apologies for any inconvenience. DH85868993 (talk) 00:10, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
No, you aren't talking rubbish. The problem being is the </b> has to go. I'm doing my best to decipher these things out, especially when a template has a bold built into it. I had that template written down with "keep". Looks like that template had the bold removed from it awhile back and I screwed up. Will put it with "delete" and fix the ones I screwed up on. Hindu Community strcture
According to social status

1. Brahmin (the learned)
2. Kshatriya (the warriors)
3. Baishya (Businessmen)
4. Shudra (labours
For details, see Varna (Hinduism)

Dutta Vs Dutta

See this. I felt, "Dutta Vs Dutta" should be created by a Dutta (me).

My name

The Wikipedia article says "Dutta" means "Sun", and origin of the word "Tito" is Titus or Titan,

Kshatriya

Kayastha is a community of Hindus. Traditionally they are Kshatriya.. at least used to be warriors, fighters... used to join king'/country's army (or even king too).

Kshatriya and Kayastha Interesting story?

Now Parashurama (a Brahmin, see list in the box) is said to have killed all "kshatriyas" 21 times (from the lead of the Parashurama article- Parashurama is most known for ridding the world of kshatriyas twenty-one times over after the mighty king Kartavirya killed his father.... He killed all "Kshatriya" men, but only those was safe who were not born still (unborn babies in the body of their pregnant mothers). Now "Body" means Kaya in Sanskrit ans stha means "in". So, Kayastha means in body (since those babies were "in their mothers body (womb) then). That's how they/we are named Kayastha (Kshatriya).

I know a researcher of this topic, he is on a short wikibreak, I can ask him if you want more details about this story. User:Sitush may know more! --Tito Dutta (talk)

José Rufino Cuervo

Hello, Bgwhite,

I have a proposal: in the second line of the third paragraph of

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rufino_Jos%C3%A9_Cuervo

maybe you or someone else should erase the word "regimen" and write instead: "rection", or "government", or "grammar government".

It would read as follows:

(Dictionary of Castilian language construction and rection).

Because:

"régimen" is a correct word in the Spanish language, but in English, I have just learned that the correct word or phrase is "rection", or "government".

My source is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_%28linguistics%29

Concerning "grammar government", please keep in mind that my mother tongue is not English, but Spanish, and therefore I do not know if "grammar government" could cause more confusion among readers.

Cordially,

Alejandro Ochoa Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. 189.162.224.142
